Frequently Asked Questions
Q I'm a complete beginner, is that okay?
fine. As long as you want to draw, you can start regardless of experience or age. We will teach you how to use art materials and basic techniques. Those who can start suddenly with vague curiosity, those who have been interested in painting for a long time and have been looking for opportunities and places to draw, those who wanted to experience painting and drawing once, I continue to draw by myself If you have any questions, such as those who wanted advice, please ask each time.
Q What should I prepare first?
In the elementary school class, you can use the paints used at school, but first of all, you purchase them in the classroom.
In the middle and high school / adult class, if you are a complete beginner, you will first learn from drawing, so please prepare a ketch book, pencil, kneaded eraser, etc. This tool is also sold in the classroom, but you may bring your own.
Q I would like to join as a sibling. Is it okay to use one set of tools?
No. As a general rule, we do not lend or borrow tools because there is a high possibility that the seats will fall apart. Please prepare one set for each person.
Q Can I wait in the classroom until my child's production is finished?
Basically it is not possible, but it is possible to wait for a short time. Please come to pick me up at the end.
Q Do you provide guidance on preparing for entrance exams at high schools and universities?
We are preparing for the art high school exam. We do not provide guidance on preparing for university entrance exams. Since you can learn the basics of drawing, I think that you will have plenty of time to start drawing for the exam in earnest later.
Q How many people do you teach?
There are 28 elementary school students, and 13 junior high and high school students and adults are at about the same time, so we consider a total of 13 students. (As of September 2021) Subject to change when space is expanded.
Q I want to improve my drawing, should I start with drawing?
If you want to draw realism, you need a drawing, but depending on the picture you want to draw, it may be better to draw the number of sheets with various painting materials. Paco actively incorporates drawings from elementary school students to adult classes. Junior high and high school students to adult classes are asked to draw first, and then consult with their wishes to create watercolors, acrylics, collages, digital drawings using iPad, etc. (Oil painting is not done)
Q I'm thinking about it as a hobby.
You are welcome. When I draw a picture, I notice that my interests and perspectives on various things change. The picture will remain, so I'm happy to look back on it later.
Q How do you pay the monthly fee?
We are giving you a monthly bag. Stamp the stamp on the monthly fee bag. If you need a receipt, please let us know.
Q Can I join from the middle of the month?
Yes, I can. In the first month, the monthly fee will be calculated by dividing the number of times. Elementary school class costs 3400 yen for 2 times, 1700 yen for 1 time, and adult class for junior high and high school students costs 4000 yen for 2 times and 2000 yen for 1 time.
Q I would like to take a day off for about a month, is it possible?
You can keep your seat by paying ¥ 2,000 a month. You can use the recess for up to 2 months on a monthly basis. After 3 months, you will be temporarily withdrawn due to class capacity adjustment. If you enroll again, no enrollment fee will be charged.
